  1. ABJ says:

    Thanks for the link =)

  2. shoestring says:

Enlarge our Territories is a parody site. But many people don’t get it. That means, doesn’t mean those people are stupid but that the site does not live up to standards of good parody.

My opinion only ah, people. No piranhas please.

  3. Xboy says:

How dare you say our cause is a parody! May the Gods smite you with the vengeance of a thousand scorned… just kidding la

If its a parody, would you say it has helped the repeal 377a petition or harmed it?

  4. shoestring says:

No worries. You are not my enemy or anyone else in this world. Neither do those “gods” frighten me.

“For your struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.” – Ephesians 6:12

In addition, I have put on the full armor of God.

To answer your question, my view is that the parody has done more harm than good because:

1 It did not achieve the effect intended, that is, to ridicule and make people laugh at Christians and “their delusional silly ways”. Personally, it came across as childish.

2 Instead, it provoked ill feelings which does not help to win supporters for your cause. Antagonism only leads to more antagonism.

3 It has put the owner of the site in a vulnerable position of being charged with trying to stir up religious disharmony. Especially so if it was not intended as a parody. Imagine what could have happened if it were an Islamic entity that was ridiculed.

4 By ridiculing only Christians, it showed the narrowness of mind behind the parody because Christians are not the only ones who do not condone homosexuality.

The good? I can’t think of any at the moment.

You have asked and I have answered honestly. Please take this as constructive feedback.
