    I am sure people here are watching the Burmese protests closely to see what works and what not to do today to suppress a protest.

    will never happen here… we dont have an organised group like the monks there. only group that comes close is the church people. but they too busy building mega churches to care about marching down the streets haha

    What I find weird is that the government approves plays on homosexuality but wouldn’t pass a law allowing the formation of gay organizations / parties.

    a play is a one off term permit with a limited lifespan. when the play finishes its run, its gone. an organisation on the other hand tend to last longer and feelings run higher if you want to later revoke the permit of an existing organisation. gay parties, its a signal that they will not bend backwards (or is it forwards?) just for pink dollars…
