FAQ

Why start The Singapore Daily?
Because tomorrow a Singapore Surf’er might be an intelligent singaporean who pingsg sgBlogs and reads The Singapore Daily… But seriously, there are so many good blog entries written by less well known Singaporean bloggers that we feel should be read by more people. In addition, we believe that having someone else help direct readers to your postings helps relieve some of the pressure of having to write interesting/thought provoking articles EVERYDAY to keep readers interested. Bloggers have lifes too ^_^.

Who are you anyway?
We are a group of Singaporeans who love eating, shopping and downloading torrents just like everybody else.

What happen to Saturdays and Sundays?
We thought long and hard on this one and decided that we should take weekends seriously. So no blogs, Youtube, EDMW and MSN on weekends. Quality time with the family on weekends, that’s our motto here at SGDaily. You should too.

Why do you sometimes feature sites that are not blogs, forums or Singaporean even?
We wished we could find more articles like tech reviews and sports commentaries written by local bloggers but the reality is that they are really rare. It is our hope that by highlighting the rare ones regularly to our readers, others will be encouraged to write about it themselves.

Why feature Forum chats like EDMW?
Some people dread having to trawl through forums for information and hopefully we can do that part for them. Also, you’ll be surprise what you can find sometimes in forums like EDMW.

What the hell is a ChioBu? And why have it here?
A ChioBu is hokkien parlance for an attractive woman. We thought of using Hot Chick, Cool Babe but it just doesn’t sound as sexy. If we can get 1 out of every 10 people who came here to look at chiobus to click on one of our links to read about a current issue, we are all for it.

I think most here, nearly 90% are regular B’hood readers.

You can tell by just looking at the ‘most popular’ hits - they probably think, this is another dot site.

    They run into the thousands.
